UPDATE 3-MOVES-Jones Day, JPMorgan, Macquarie, Schroders

JONES DAY

The law firm named Joan McKown, chief counsel of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Enforcement, as a partner in the firm's Securities Litigation and SEC Enforcement practice in Washington.

JPMORGAN CHASE & CO (JPM.N)

The bank named two co-heads to replace Doug Braunstein as head of its U.S. and Canadian investment banking effort, according to an internal memo. [ID:nN14260236]

MACQUARIE CAPITAL (MQG.AX)

The Australia based investment bank named Marc Middleton, formerly a partner and managing director at NM Rothschild & Sons, as vice chairman of Macquarie's European Advisory business. It also named Ian Brimecome, formerly a senior advisor at Fox-Pitt Kelton and then at Macquarie, as executive chairman of the bank's European Financial Institutions Group.

SCHRODERS

The asset management company hired Abhishek Saxena, previously a portfolio manager at MetLife Inc (MET.N), as a fund manager responsible for management of Schroders Matching Plus pooled fund and segregated mandates. It also hired Michael Bach Nielsen, formerly at Aegon Asset Management, as a member of its structured solutions team.

QUILTER

The U.K.-based personalized investment management services specialist named Philip Brown, previously with Brewin Dolphin in North Wales, as consultant to its Liverpool office to develop client relationships in North Wales.

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING FOUNDATION

The FAF, which oversees the administration and finances of the Financial Accounting Standards Board, named Mark Schroeder, a recently retired partner of Deloitte & Touch LLP, as post implementation review leader. Schroeder will report to Teresa Polley, president of the FAF.

CITIGROUP (C.N)

The No. 3 U.S. bank's private bank has hired Kurt Muller, most recently a director at Merrill Lynch & Co's managed solutions group, as a director and investment counselor based in Short Hills, New Jersey.

GOLDMAN SACHS GROUP INC (GS.N)

The bank has hired Alastair Maxwell, Morgan Stanley's (MS.N) head of energy investment banking in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), two people familiar with the matter said on Wednesday. [ID:nLDE66D0I3]

LAZARD LTD (LAZ.N)

Lazard Ltd named Jonathan Turnbull managing director in the power, energy, and infrastructure investment banking group, effective immediately.

Turnbull was previously managing director and global head of infrastructure group in investment banking at Citigroup (C.N).

DEUTSCHE BANK (DBKGn.DE)

Deutsche Bank has poached Barclays Capital's (BARC.L) head of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) equities Dixit Joshi to take up the same role at the German bank. [ID:nLDE66D0GF]

Separately, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc named Kristen Stewart, formerly a medical supplies analyst at Credit Suisse, as a director and senior company research analyst within its global markets division, based in New York. Stewart, who will cover the medical supplies and devices sector, will report to Steve Pollard, managing director and head of research for the Americas.

BARCLAYS WEALTH

Barclays Wealth, the private banking arm of British bank Barclays, named Stefanie Drews managing director, head of ultra high net worth, UK & EMEA. Stefanie was most recently managing director, EMEA region at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.

It also named Rahul Ahuja director, based in Delhi, India. Ahuja was previously team leader for north India for the middle market segment at Standard Chartered Bank (STAN.L).

JEFFERIES (JEF.N)

Jefferies named Victor von Mengersen as managing director and head of German financial sponsor coverage.

Mengersen has worked at UBS as managing director and head of the German financial sponsor and leveraged finance group.

HAWKPOINT PARTNERS LTD

The corporate finance advisory firm named Frank Jung managing director of its German restructuring and debt advisory practice.

Jung joins Hawkpoint from Jefferies, where he headed its Anglo German financial restructuring practice.

PARTNERS CAPITAL

The private investment office promoted Arjun Raghavan to become a partner in the firm.
